Gary Banks x Paul Cook - “PrepBench”

Shaper is an innovative German-US technology company who have produced ‘Origin’ - the world’s first handheld CNC router. In this film Shaper commissioned us to create a project that demonstrated the wide-reaching abilities of the Origin and the Origin System.

Gary and I pitched the idea of “PrepBench” - a bespoke desk designed specifically for camera operators, cinematographers and production companies for camera rigging, building and general maintenance. The result is a beautifully designed desk that allows the user to attach a traditional tripod directly into the desktop for their camera to be mounted safely and securely right where they need it.
